Behold…a Smorgasbord:
I am the producer and primary arranger on all these project (except for strings, which are always arranged by the amazing Kristin Wilkinson). Still, it takes a village and I am indebted to the insight and contributions of the massively influential musicians and engineers who participated in forming these works, let alone the unbelievable songwriting and artistry of each individual artist. I cannot give enough credit away. I’m beyond lucky to be on their planet.
The compilation below is far from a comprehensive list of artists and songs I’ve produced, but does represents a smattering of my favorite projects from over the years. Styles range wildly from the intimate piano grit of Jonathan Feist, to the boisterous cheeky rock and blues of the late Jim Connor. Jazz lovers will appreciate the smooth crooning of Mark Brignone, and the pop-wise will dance to Brea Fornier. Check out the heartfelt innocence of Anne Dillon Loflin and the wondrous guitar and vocal poignancy of John Sierra (whose background vocal arranging I’m particularly proud of). Oded Noy is a multi-instrumentalist extraordinaire with a flair for trombone in massive sophisticated pop/jazz arrangements. Michael Hinckley’s guitar playing is as brilliant and honest as vocals and lyrics. If you like country, Rob Courain is your man, god, his sessions were a blast. Randi Fay’s Christmas Project is a jewel in its own right, her song, Wexford Carol, has one of my favorite piano arrangements of all time (with the brilliant strings of the aforementioned Kristin Wilkinson). The American Mobster soundtrack (written with the incomparable Joe Pettrucelli) has some brilliant playing by guitar great Corey Congilio. Last but not least is the amazing Lucas Harmon, whose emotional honesty can be breathtaking and stylistically pokes at old and new pop.
So, basically here’s a smorgasbord of musical styles…all delicious.
Enjoy!
Make it stand out.
